Yeah, I was waiting for you Friday night! I even found a roommate for you! Yo condoru missed a good one, but I completely understand. I wouldn't be real comfortable either!

I took pics. I'll download and post in the next few days.

And  about 2- 3 tanks of gas for the ECU to fully relearn any changes too it.

Mike
That's a non issue, it's more about the density of the fuel mass.

Solo Mach Shorty arrived Thursday, had it installed by local Muffler Man Friday AM, sounds acceptable even wo/resonators in the coupe.  Fact is wouldn't minding it sounding a tad louder (maybe because it's an auto?) Performance increase? Seems to feel a little more peppy but might me my imagination since I'm a cruiser and not racer.  Uncut GXP exhaust will be transferred to our 2.4.

Oh, and didn't make it to RT66 Take 2 Shindig :(  Neighbors home broke into, stole 2 flatscreens/1 bicycle, and found out several more houses in neighborhood had recently been broken into.  Suspect kids, but ended up not feeling comfortable leaving w/sonsof:censor: e$ B&E the neighborhood.

Choptop
Initially you will might get a little bit of a performance boost, but the ECU will learn you back to 260hp after some key cycles.  Sorry to hear about the B&E.  I'd be pissed if that crap happened in my neighborhood.

I drove my car today!

"Big deal." I hear you say?  Maybe, but we've been in Florida for 8 weeks - got back yesterday when it was raining - and it's dry and sunny this afternoon, so off I went!  Car started with a bit of a stuggle - prolly because I didn't leave it on a trickle charger - but start it did.

So whats the next get-together in the DC-MD-VA area?

How long did it take to get the smell out of you fridge?

Cleared the fridge and 1/2 the freezer side on Sat after we got in. Ugh.  Filled 3 trash bins.  Still got the other half of the freezer and the chest freezer in the garage to clean out.  Happy day.

Anyone tried to claim this on insurance?  Does it go against the deductible?  (I assume so)

Carbon Sky, the door panel looks like you brushed in a license plate in there? How heavy is the stuff you are brushing on?

I'll put something more organized together when I'm done.  I figure I'll do one for the stereo, one for the pod.

By the way, I know where Welland is now.  Picked up the Second Skin Spectrum from a hot rod shop in Fonthill.

@ CS i really love the work you did with your front grill. looking forward to see it installed.

on Sunday, it was a pleasure to watch a poor Z4 trying to get away from me on a very twisty country road...
the GT was calm. i tapped the wheel and i told my GT "go get him boy". from there it was just a matter of seconds before the Z4 was admiring my  rear wing.
same story with an SLK and an Audi 1.8T. poor cars..they had no idea.. :)

CS, for the carbon fiber on the windshield surround, did you get a good line up on the two spots from the top to the sides? I thought about doing this instead of painting. The plasti dip did not survive.

For the first time in 4 years the convertible top pinched when I was closing it. I hope this isn't going to be a regular occurrence.

Im somewhat unclear as to how to fix the pinching of the top, there are a couple of posts of this on one of these kappa forums but they have different ways of fixing.  Until I can figure that out, upon putting up the top, I lift the top half way so as to not pinch the fabric and place my index finger inside the groove wear the pinch is at to pop it out.  The hassle with this is ofcourse placing the top at just the right angle to have it stay put at halfway up and I have to do this on both sides so walking around the car an additional time is essential.  And yes, I do this without the lube!!

Hi,

just wanted to say hello and sorry that I've been off for a long time.

Still trying to get my Visa (Greencard) and planning how to get my car to the USA.
Thanks for the help I got from a lot of members here in the forum.  :urock:
By the way is someone owner off a body shop.

Introduced my car on a US car convention and explained a lot of people that the GT is a Saturn Sky Redline (no German car, proudly made in the USA). :D
The car has been a highlight, because I installed again the undercoverlights.

I hope I will be on more often. :usa:

Oh I will be in Chicago in September. :D

Your car's a beauty!

I got my green card a few years ago and it was quite a performance, but all is good now. So many things to do to become a LPR here. Good luck.

Again, what a nice nice car! :)
