Found Autozone power steering fluid would stop most cold start squealing below 30F. Stuff pours like brake fluid as the RP was like cold syrup. :)

Installed my Nokya 893 Arctic White Foglight bulbs finally! Took them for a test spin and I would rate them as a definite upgrade!!! Increased visibility to the sides by at least 100% (15 feet to over 30 feet to the side of the car) and could be used as early evening driving lights for front lighting. Only draw back would be HEAVY fog, then they would be useless... Pics to follow in another thread.

Drove it in the snow for the first time.

It was less than an inch, but no issues, tracked straight and no slipping with stock tires.

Detailed it and took it out for the dinner and festival of lights. It was a great way to get in the holiday spirit!  :yay:

Took a breather from replacing my engine except for flushing oil out of my intercooler.

You know your Kappa is low when you pull into a parking space next to a Pontiac G8 and your looking up at the door handle! I don't think roof clear the side mirror. Those are big cars!

When I left work today my car's water temp was 28*. Car is garaged so I've no idea what the air temps were this morning other than it was in the teens. Frigid. Florida sounds good right about now...

Supposed to be 28° here in the morning. Not sure that Florida is the best place right now either.  :idk:

Mine was 18 degrees this morning. I am fascinated to watch how fast the temp comes up.

Wow! It's 80F here with mostly cloudy skies and a slight breeze coming across Subic Bay...  Of course my car is sitting in Maryland freezing its tailpipes off....

took my GT for a ride last night.
it had been snowing and raining here the last few days and yesterday though it was cold, it was not raining.
how much i pushed it, i didn't hear any surge in 3rd and 4th gear at low rpms.
but, raced against two GTs with stock turbo and tune and was left quite behind, especially starting from rolling 3rd gear...
not happy... the big wheel mod hasn't worked for me so far, it has only been a waste of money and time.
hope this will get fixed ..
well, at least my car is driveable now, coz i didn't want to drive it knowing that if i push it i will have surge...

Arabas, patience is a virtue! Those that break boundaries and go into uncharted waters have to expect some setbacks before the big payout... your girl will come through her sluggishness and then WOT, WOOT!  I have faith in you! Keep with it and all will work out with time!

Took off some front panels on the dash board so I could mount some switches to control my LED's and found out there is no room behind the dash (Metal brace), so back on went the panels. Just to take off the panel I needed to take off I had to remove 3 other panels.....  :banghead:

Drove home in the snow, on almost bald tires. Was planning on replacing them this weekend, now I know I'm replacing them this weekend.

We have some snow flurries where I live right now.

Been real cold so I had to put some air in my tires.  Found out that my cigarette lighter/power outlet is not working and the fuse is good.

Anyone know if it is possible to remove that to check on the wiring without taking off the lower dash?

No problem on the stock tires, so long as I kept my foot out of it. 20 miles of this:

Got home and had this:

Not going to get washed for a while either. Wont be above freezing for a week or more.

There was a post on this a couple of weeks ago on the BB.  You can just pop the shift boot and reach/feel back behind the cig lighter from there.
