left Pohang for Taegu about an hour after sunrise and rode 2 hours to the registration office on Camp Henry to get my temporary tags.
Walked 10 minutes to the VPC on Camp Henry to pick up the car. There was a minor rub mark on the front spoiler and they did a shitty job of washing it even though I told them not to. The left dirt, runs, and swirl marks on it.
Drove 15 minutes to the Service Center on Camp Walker to get it inspected. No problems and he hardly looked at the car.
Drove 15 minutes back to the registration office on Camp Henry to get my permanent tags.
Drove 15 minutes back to the service center on Camp Walker to have the tags installed (Weird, but there is a trick to it), only for them to say come back in an hour.
Drove 15 minutes back to the VPC on Camp Henry to to pick up my $100 check for the damage. Had to be there before they closed.
Drove 15 minutes back to the service center on Camp Walker to have the permanent tags installed.
Washed the car because I couldn't take it any more!
Drove 15 back to the registration office on Camp Henry to turn in the temp tags and get the Korean version of a base sticker.
Had lunch, cashed the check and drove back to Pohang. Got lost for about an hour (Kim Jung Il says Hi!).
Just as I got to Pohang, I got a call from the deployed unit's doctor about a guy with a broken jaw so I met them at the local hospital for X-rays. Had to wait on them for 30 minutes so I wiped the car down really well.
Made it back to base just as it was getting dark. All in all, a lot of driving and all with the top down. It was sunny and 56 degrees out! I got lots of waves, stares and smiles. Apparently no one owns a shiny (not Karen) car in all of Korea! I'm wiped out...
