Busy all last week but drove it everyday really early and topless for the rides home. Detailed it and drove up yesterday for MarlboroMike's Mini Mod Meet. He fixed Tammy's door. Funny pictures from that on Facebook. Then lighting my wind deflector didn't happen because couldn't tap into my brake ligjts and he's  done 20 of them. Not sure what's going on there. Heading out soon for Buds 'n Blossoms!

I will post my results sheet later tonight. Ambient temperature 87*, relative humidity 49%, 3 pulls, 268whp, 297 torque, 268whp, 309 torque, 265whp, 312 torque. Dynojet SAE smoothing factor 5. What should our AFR numbers look like?
BTW, '07 RL with GMPP tune, average was about 210whp and 200 torque, needless to say he wasn't happy.

Hi guys my name is Jim, a friend of Ric ... I purchased this car for my daughter and so far have added the Magnaflow exhaust and the GMPP upgrade. I don't have a stock dyno run to compare numbers with. The best run after mods was 223rwhp / 203rwtq needless to say I was rather under whelmed.

Today I had an appointment back at the dealer that did the GMPP upgrade, and was told no problems were found and everything was normal. I really question the ability of the tech that was working on it. I was always under the assumption that a chassis dyno did in fact measure torque and based Hp from a calculation, which is just the opposite of what the tech wrote on his summary.  Any input from any of you more experienced members would be greatly appreciated. I have zero knowledge of the Sky Redline, it's all rather new to me. I do however own two new Camaros, that I have a rather good feel for and a decent amount of knowledge of.

If the images attach properly, take a look and tell me what you think.

Thanks

Jim aka SlingShot

BTW ... Ric your Camaro numbers are in line with stock V6 numbers

I do not know how you can tell if the GMMP tune is actual installed or not, but I can tell you that your numbers are in line with a stock GXP.  There are people on here running close to 300 rwhp without a GMPP tune.

John   that was easy , When I had it installed i was pulling at least21 lb. boost and about 7100 RPM's  Now its about 16-17 and only 6500 ish RPM's

I noticed yesterday a clunk in my right front suspension when backing out of the garage and dropping off the lip.

I then got out and rocked it and was able to duplicate it.

So I decided to check my front ball joints as they have been loose once before.  But they were fine.

One of my sway bar end links was loose. I always have a hard time coordinating the allen wrench and the open-end wrench. I need more tools. :)

Autocrossed it today!!  Beautiful day, Capital Driving Club in Frederick, MD. New tires are great and had a blast.  So our old friend, Ben L.  He's doing great and was driving his Mustang GT as he melted the pistons on his FFR. He hopes to have it back soon.  But, since he has all seasons on the Stang, I was actually faster than great Ben!!  Of course, when the FFR is back.....

Drove 5 miles to the Wilson Bridge in Old Town Alexandria. Walked 3.5 miles to the National Harbor. Had a great lunch, walked back to the car and took it home in 75° top down weather. Grabbed a shower and went to the movies, saw Arthur. Not bad, not as good as the original. All in all a great day with my girl, and my Sky!

PS Did a major wash, wax and interior clean and treat yesterday!

Got woken up at 0530 this morning for a Marine that had a roman candle projectile explode on impact with his eye.  I needed to get him to a hospital ASAP so we hopped in the car, turned on the strobes and hauled ass to the local hospital in the rain.  Once we got there, I found out they didn't have an ophthalmologist on call so I had to drive him to the next biggest town over (Deagu), about 1:45 hrs away.  The rain had stopped by then and the sun was starting to come out so I dropped the top and hit the road.  50 minutes later I pulled up to the hospital.

After he was treated and discharged, I went to the base in Deagu for groceries and drove back to Pohang.  As I was getting close to base, something caught my eye.  It was a silver Daewoo G2X.  I switched lane and got behind him.  I flashed my lights, followed him a little while, got up beside him and waved, but he just kept driving.  He had his top up and his windows were tinted so I couldn't see his face.  I got on either side of him and tried to get him to pull over, but he wasn't having it.  At one point he tried to pull away from me, but that was an easy catch up for me and my tune.  He made a few turns, but never stopped.  I eventually let him go.  I have no idea what he was thinking, but he probably looked at me and thought Pabo Migook!  (Stupid American)

Hey Slingshot,

I know little about the gmpp tune, but doesn't it give you a 'no-lift shift'?  Could you maybe use that as a test to see if the ecm was actually flashed?

You guys with the tune, chime in.

This one is an auto, I couldn't even get the the guy to use his Tech II to check the software version on the ECM.  Sometimes I think it could have just been a set of bad dyno pulls. Maybe they left it in (D) rather then (4) ... If you look at the torque graph it's not flat, most graphs I've seen have been ...

We dyno-ed 4 kappas with the gmpp tune and all 4 of us were +\- 2 hp of 265 hp at the rear wheels. So even with a real stIngy machine, I think your low and at stock levels

I don't know what is expected of you when it comes to transporting patients but it sounds to me as though you went above and beyond by a wide margin.

Kudos to you sir.

I hope your marine is doing well.

So he is an ambulance driver in his own car?

Seriously, I was giving him kudos for going above and beyond. I would assume the American military has access to ambulances, but this was faster.
